New material: ABS + PC-Blend FR ECE – R118.03

At Hagedorn Plastirol, we continuously monitor all developments in the market. The EU regulation ECE-R118.03 annex 6 + 7 + 8 defines the fire behaviour of plastic materials in the interior of motor vehicles such as buses and trains. A development that we as a specialist in this sector could of course not ignore.

After several months of thorough and methodical product development, Hagedorn Plastirol now has a solution that is ready for series production for this specific market need. We can now offer you the following solutions from our product portfolio: sheets made of ABS + PC-Blend FR (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene + Polycarbonate fire protection). This offers the following advantages:

• Elegant, super matte surface, optionally also with UV stabilisation
• Individual colour adjustment according to customer requirements
• Various surface embossings available LG, LM, MCC
• Halogen-free (eg VDE 0472 / part 815)
• Good thermoforming properties
• Official homologation according to ECE-R118.03 appendix 6 + 7 + 8
• Thickness up to 4 mm
